Event Details:

Plan to attend an interactive exhibit at the Beaverlodge Community Centre from March 2 to 5.  Visitors are invited to take an educational walk-through journey, exploring the impacts and reach of opioid use. The exhibit aims to reduce stigma and increase awareness that the drug does not discriminate – anyone can be affected by this crisis. The event is free, open to the public and will follow current COVID-19 protocols. 

Where:  
Beaverlodge Community Centre, 1016 - 4 Avenue, Beaverlodge, AB 

When:  

  • Wednesday, March 2: 2 to 8 p.m., beginning with a launch event at 2 p.m. featuring remarks by local dignitaries and an individual with lived experience. 
  • Thursday, March 3 from 1 to 8 p.m.  
  • Friday, March 4 from 1 to 8 p.m. 
  • Saturday, March 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. 

Presented by:  
Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) in the County of Grande Prairie and towns of Beaverlodge and Wembley, along with the Beaverlodge Victim Services Unit Society, Justice for Justice Society, Horse Lake First Nation, Alberta Health Services, Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta, Western Cree Tribal Council, and Northreach.
